Lisa Ann Walter

Lisa Ann Walter is on the lookout for love, but she has dealbreakers when browsing the apps.

“Someone who’s not married,” she told PEOPLE in March 2025. “When you look on a dating app, aren’t you looking at code like, ‘Yeah, this guy’s married?’ Not even the physical — it’s what they say. It’s like when they’re like, ‘I want someone who has their own life going on, and we meet up occasionally, but we don’t have to … ’ like, he’s basically saying, ‘Will you be my side chick?’ “

The Abbott Elementary star has also shared she’s not venturing into the dating world alone, telling PEOPLE in August 2024 that she and her former Parent Trap castmate Elaine Hendrix often swap dating app stories and compare potential matches.

“She does send me her choices if either one of us are ever brave enough to go online and on the apps and look at guys,” Walter said. “She’ll say, ‘What about this guy?’ And, ‘I think that could be fun.’ But then we kind of talk each other out of it. So we’re not great in that way.”

Nikki Glaser

Nikki Glaser — who’s been in an on-and-off relationship with Chris Convy for more than a decade — has had her fair share of experiences on Raya.

During a March 2025 episode of the Goop podcast, the comedian told host Gwyneth Paltrow that one familiar face kept popping up: Ben Affleck, whom Paltrow famously dated in the late ’90s.

“Oh, I definitely — when I used to be on Raya, and he would come across, very concentrated check mark. Yes,” Glaser said. “And never getting it back. There are so many there are so many celebrities that I saw on Raya.”

Another A-lister who frequently appeared was none other than Andrew Garfield.

“I think Andrew Garfield’s face came up for me so many times. Multiple times,” Glaser said. “I’m sure he just didn’t see my profile, even though I clicked on his a [million times]. They’ll keep serving you up the same people, like, again and again for some reason.”

Zayn Malik

Since his on-again-off-again relationship with model Gigi Hadid ended in 2021, Zayn Malik has opened up about the highs and lows of his dating experience.

In a May 2024 interview with NYLON, the former One Direction member admitted that dating apps haven’t exactly worked in his favor.

“Everyone accused me of catfishing. They’re like, ‘What are you using Zayn Malik’s pictures for?’ ” he said. “It’s not been too successful for me, I’ll be honest.”

Teri Hatcher

When it comes to dating apps, Teri Hatcher has “tried them all,” but none of them quite panned out.

“You know, I thought, I’m gonna say to the universe that I am open and vulnerable, and I’m putting myself out there. That’s what I thought my gesture of joining that Hinge app would be. And then they kicked me off,” she said during a January 2024 appearance on Getting Grilled with Curtis Stone. “They thought I was pretending to be Teri Hatcher.”

She continued, “They apologized, and then I was like, ‘I’m sort of over it.’ So now I’m over it. I’m definitely done with the dating apps, and I feel like if there’s any way I’ll go somewhere and meet someone, that’s what it’s gonna have to be, but honestly, I’m happy. I have a really full life, a really busy life. I have beautiful friends. I, you know, it’s fine. I don’t need a man. I have a cat.”

David Harbour & Lily Allen

Talking about his romance with then-wife Lily Allen during a June 2022 appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Harbour revealed they met on Raya.

“We met on one of them dating apps, and then we went on a date … in London. She walked in and she said — she claims to have fallen in love with me at first sight — ‘When I saw you, I saw the biggest person I’d ever seen in my life and also the smallest person I’d ever seen in my life.’ “

The couple were married for four years before splitting in February 2025.

Bethenny Frankel

Though Bethenny Frankel once told PEOPLE she wanted to create her own dating app, she revealed in April 2021 that she met now-ex-husband Paul Bernon on an already-existing one. And yes, the businessman’s profile was truthful.

“I was pretty lucky when I walked in and saw him,” she said. “He had a twinkle. He came as advertised — better than advertised. He overshot the mark.”

Since their split in May 2024, the Skinnygirl founder has said she’s shifted her dating approach.

“I’ve tried to keep things on the DL,” she told host Alix Earle in a March 2025 episode of the Hot Mess podcast. “I have always sort of wanted to know exactly what everything is, and I’m trying to let the wine breathe more versus need to know what it is.”

Adam Rippon

Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon had been on dating apps for a bit before swiping right on Jussi-Pekka Kajaala’s Tinder profile in 2018, and by 2021, the duo had gotten engaged in Kajaala’s home country, Finland. (They’re now married!)

So what did Kajaala say that caused sparks to fly? “We matched on Tinder in Finland when I was there for a competition, and his opening line was, ‘Are you here for business or are you here just to meet me?’ ” Rippon shared on Dancing with the Stars in April 2018.

Drew Barrymore

Back on The Drew Barrymore Show in September 2020, Drew Barrymore shared that she wasn’t looking for love (“I have been in that mentality for the past five years, thinking I just don’t have the bandwidth, I don’t know if I’m willing to open [up,] I just can’t fit it in”).

But after watching the steamy Netflix hit Bridgerton changed her mind months later. “I got back on a dating app during Bridgerton,” she admitted during a January 2021 episode of her talk show. “I was like, ‘I’m not dead! I’m not dead!’ For me, that was a big step.”

However, Barrymore still hasn’t fully warmed up to the apps.

“Every time I get on there, it does not feel great. I always last five days,” Barrymore said on The Drew Barrymore Show in January 2024. “And this time my app has changed where it shows people like you, so it’s very flattering … but I don’t know who anyone is, and it just feels scary to go out with a stranger.”

Kiernan Shipka

In 2018, Kiernan Shipka acknowledged to Stylist that dating as a former child star isn’t easy, but she’s figured out a solution: “Raya for life. Love it. God bless Raya.”

However, the actress has largely kept the details of her love life to herself.

“I’ve always had a healthy relationship with dating, but I’ve spent so much of my life in the public eye in one way or another, I’ve figured out that I need to set a boundary for myself and not talk about it,” she told Cosmopolitan in December 2024.
